Mother's Day
" The very first word we utter in the morning is EESHWARAMMA , when we start Suprabhatam.Mata Eeshwaramma was CHOSEN by the Divine, to be the Mother of the Present Avatar, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Saibaba, and hence we begin the Suprabhatam as " EESHWARAMMA SUTTAH SHRIMAN.....", and by virtue of her being the Mother, Pedda Venkappa Raju as the Father. The Mother was Chosen, mind you, because mothers have a very very special role in Everybody's lives. They not only foster and bring up the best in their children, they shower all the Love and happiness and strive hard for the welfare of their children. Swami, in order to highlight the supreme importance of Mothers, has ear-marked 6 th May as the Mother's day, as a special tribute to Mother Eeshwaramma. Mother Eeshwaramma was a very pious lady, and like any mother, would be anxious for the ' safety ' of Swami, and sometimes used to get worried, when Swamy used to visit far off places.And out of that anxiety, she was able to persuade Swamy, to stay always in Puttaparthi,which Swamy has always obeyed. As Swami's name and fame reached far and wide, Eeshwaramma was quick enough to understand the Divine in Swamy, and started calling Him Swamy , instead of the usual Sathya. Even when she was laying down her body, she called out only Swamy- Swamy. We celebrate this Mother's Day all over the globe , in order to pay Homage and Gratitude to to Motherhood and extoll the qualities of mother , in order to imbibe the same in our own selves.
