Work is Worship
Work is Worship…….!
Right from our school or rather High school days we have been exhorted the dictum ‘work is worship and Duty is God.’ Each one of us has been busy pursuing various types of ‘work’ all our life. However, did we ever ponder over the thought that whatever work we do amounts to Worship alone ? No, it does not require too much erudition to explain it, neither a need to ‘quote’ some Scripture or personality. Any work or action, be it simply breathing, could be labelled as Worship if only we are ‘tuned’ to that sort of mindset. In fact the very thought of whatever one does or acts is ‘liked’ by him or her makes the work transform into worship. You see, when I am doing something that I like and admire, I shall certainly put my entire mind, energy and resources to fulfil the same to ‘my’ satisfaction. This ‘me’ is none other than the Lord Divine indwelling me and therefore the satisfaction of accomplishment reaches the indweller directly as a form of worship ! Too many words to put forth a simple argument ? Well, it is ultimately the way one looks at it.
It is said that one should like the work one is doing and conversely, the work should be to one’s liking ! Although both appear similar it is best to use his or her discretion whether one is doing an activity of one’s liking or else liking the work undertaken.
अरे भाई, आखिर कहना क्या चाहते हो ? और ड्यूटी इज गॉड भूल गये क्या ? ?
