शुचीनां श्रीमतां गेहे………!

 Friends,

I woke up this morning from deep slumber reciting a particular stanza from the Bhagawat Geeta (chapter six, stanza no. 41 to be precise )
I vividly remember listening to at least a dozen discourses by a famous Saint, who had elaborated its meanings in depth. I am aware of my inadequacy to explain the same in simple words ; however, let me make an effort once again !

The actual stanza is like this -
“प्राप्य पुण्यकृतां लोकान् , उषित्वा शाश्वती: समा:      ।
  शुचीनां श्रीमतां गेहे , योगभ्रष्टोsभिजायते              ॥६/४१॥

The Lord said -
Look at the wonder Arjuna, even Indra the King of Gods has to strive to attain that state while performing hundreds of Yajnyas , whereas a ‘Mumukshu’ ,that is one who craves to attain Salvation
by breaking shackles of ‘duality’, can achieve it easily.
You see, after enjoying entire infallible enjoyments the being becomes weary of those, he takes birth again in a wealthy, cultured and well-bred ancestry. Just as grains of rice germinate in fertile and well prepared soil, he blossoms in that new home.

Parth, such a noble one , the योगभ्रष्ट (the one who could not complete Yoga Practices in earlier life ) takes birth in an excellent household where all the members behave with morality and righteousness ; those who speak true and sacred speech and follow injunctions of Vedas and Shastras ; where Divinity is patently manifest and overall conduct is exemplary ; where spiritual matters are discussed and where all family members are diligent and industrious !
A family possessing benign attributes and wealth of Divine traits,  propitious well disposed one, where there is ever increasing perennial joy and happiness by virtue of  good deeds done in previous lives, there, O Parth, he is born again !

(I hope that I could convey something at least, at least a desire to find the exact meaning therein ! )

Best wishes,
Dr. P. S. Rahalkar
